SF Design FFL Explorer- exclusive for fashion for life

If you didn't already know Fashion For Life in sl has started - 'Fashion for Life is the oldest and grandest of Second Life’s fashion event and one of Relay For Life of SL’s mega-events. It’s a ten sim fashion event featuring the generous offerings of more than 150 designers of clothing, accessories and poses ' Percentages from ALL sales are going to Cancer Research.
I have a new exclusive mesh outfit for men and women at the event sf design explorer - mesh safari suit with shorts (can be worn separately and pith helmet.) Demos available - you can pick up a free safari hat too in my store, with hat hair.

its that time of year again - Fashion for Life 2012

that means....10 sims with over 200 stores selling wonderful items in aid of cancer research
....AND - gacha areas, a hunt, a raffle and a SALE- all with the end goal of raising funds for the American Cancer Society via SL.
Once again SF Design are pleased to be involved with this great event, we have 4 exclusive items in our ffl vendors at the fashion for life.

This classically sophisticated gown is dedicated and created for Lauren Fox of second life - some of you may know her as the owner of Laurens Tiling Textures - Lauren is currently undergoing chemotherapy for Ovarian Cancer.

The gown is created in satin teal (teal being the Ovarian Cancer charity colour) and features asymmetrical glitter patterning.
The flexi skirt flows from the skirt in an asymmetrical cut and the system skirt enhances feminine curves.
Also included is a cute short version suitable as a cocktail dress

The flexi attachments include a resizing script just left click your prims when wearing to resize.
Included you will also find matching shoes.

sf design @ Fashion For Life

For me personally - the most important week of the sl calendar has been the Relay for Life clothing fair - in the last 3 years.
This year it takes on a new name with new organisers but just as wonderful and as normal with a focus on fighting for a cure.
The Fashion For Life event starts tomorrow and runs till the 22nd March.
with nearly 200 designers taking part on 9 sims.
Each designer has placed 3 or 4 FFL vendors in their stores, these vendors contain outfits being sold 100% for the American Cancer Research charity.
The SF Design Store is ready and waiting on Helmut Newton sim (sponsored by Kmadd) We have 4 brand new items in our FFL Vendors each dedicated to someone special - i'll be blogging each over the next few days.

The Penryn Festival 2008 in aid of Relay for Life (cancer research)

You are invited to a 36hr feast of live music and djs , all who have given their time to support Relay for Life. Come and listen to live music from America and Europe and djs playing all genres. Simply right click the land at Penryn and buy a pass to enter for the day 100lindens only per day. Also available a limited amount of exclusive tents at our festival camping sites urs for the weekend and to take home after the festival - complete with animations. Items for sale specially for RFL and 2 silent auctions make a bid for the General Lee car or Elvis' belt!
Every person who pays to come on to the site will get a goodie bag of exclusive festival items , this should be a fun event and we'd love to see you there :)

Relay For Life - Clothing Fair

Today I went on a tour of 4 sims and was totally blown away. Nevar Lobo and Pips Fetid have organised the most amazing event to raise money for Cancer Research. Further details here Although this is not the first RFL Clothing Fair this is the first Ive had the privilege to be involved with. SF Design have set up their shop in the Autumn Sim and we are hoping to raise lots of money for the Relay for Life cause. Nevar showed me round the sims today where over 50 designers have set up shop , I saw amazing talent from designers who were new to me such as Cream Shop and Bailers Outfitters right through to those who have been favourites of mine for a good few years - such as DE , Rfyre, BareRose and Nymphetamine. But this was not just about the fashion - wow these guys are sooo creative - if you've ever walked down Oxford Street in London at Christmas you'll have an idea of what you can expect. So many of the designers have put in hours of work turning their shops into an art experience with loads of WOW factor. But of course even though its fun just to look if youre not a shopper , this is the one time to part with your hard earned lindens. Some of the designers will donate all or part of their earnings to the Relay for Life charity and some have made special RFL outfits to be sold purely for the charity. Be sure to go and get one on Monday when it opens, you'll have a hard time choosing though!.
SF Design are releasing both a gown and matching tux which are specifically for the cause, a preview you can see on the pic ;)
